Presentation
I
was born in San José, Costa
Rica in the past Century.
I connect with the XXI Century by maintaining
a good mental attitude, and active access to many networks of people
and technology.
My greatest pride is my daughter. My greatest support
is my family. My friends are my greatest satisfaction. It’s with
them that I learn.
I like to read and I have an intense appreciation
of music. I was educated in the formal system from kindergarten to university.
For some years now, I am a beginner in a ballet class.
Currently I am a Visiting Scientist at the MIT Media Lab, a Professor
at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and an educational advisor for
the LINCOS project. My previous activities varied from classroom teacher
and program director to advisor to the Minister of Education.
Most of
them, related to the use of technology to enhance human sustainable development.
I
publish in specialized journals and present projects and research in
academic meetings and conferences.
I would like my epitaph to say: “She learned.” Each
day, I try to make sure that when the time comes it will be true.
